Massage in Opfikon (Glattbrugg) near Zurich
Massage in Opfikon: Individual. Holistic. Effective.
Every body is different – that is why I tailor every massage to you individually. Whether you want to release tension, relieve pain or simply switch off: at the practice in Opfikon, you will find the calm you deserve.

Who is massage suitable for?
Massage is for everyone – regardless of age or fitness level. Those who benefit most are people who suffer from tension due to office work, are physically active and want faster recovery, struggle with sleep issues or stress, have chronic back or neck pain, or seek relief during pregnancy.
For chronic headaches, sleep disorders or stress-related complaints, I recommend EMR-certified acupressure as a complement – costs may be reimbursed depending on your supplementary insurance.
Massage Techniques
In every session, I combine techniques to suit your needs. Here are the key methods.
Relaxation Massage
Gentle, flowing strokes for deep relaxation and stress relief.
Deep Tissue Massage
Intensive pressure techniques release deep-seated tension and chronic muscle knots. Especially effective for athletes.
Trigger Point Therapy
Targeted treatment of pain points – effective for radiating neck, shoulder and back pain.
Aromatherapy Massage
High-quality essential oils – lavender, eucalyptus or rosemary – enhance the effect and engage all the senses.
Pregnancy Massage
Gentle, pregnancy-adapted massage from week 13 of pregnancy. Relieves back and leg complaints, reduces swelling.
Head & Face Massage
Relieves tension headaches and mental exhaustion. Especially beneficial for screen work and jaw clenching.
Back & Neck Special
Focused treatment of the most common problem areas. Ideal when time is short and targeted relief is needed.

Expert opinions
What science says
Modern studies demonstrate that professional massage measurably reduces inflammatory processes in muscle tissue and accelerates regeneration – well beyond simple relaxation.
Massage is studied in connection with blood pressure, anxiety and depressive symptoms, among other things; the findings are mixed. As a building block for everyday relaxation it is well established.
Complementary treatment
Acupressure – EMR quality label
For deeper, energetic complaints such as chronic headaches, sleep problems or inner restlessness, acupressure is an effective complement to massage. EMR-recognised — reimbursement through supplementary insurance is possible depending on your insurer and policy.
Note: Massage is not covered by health insurance. If reimbursement is important, acupressure may be the more suitable choice.
When massage is not suitable
No massage – please seek medical assessment first:
- Diagnosed thrombosis or suspected thrombosis
- High fever or acute infection
- Acute inflammation in the treatment area
- Open wounds or fresh injuries
- Acute disc herniation: no deep massage of the affected region
Only after medical consultation:
- Known blood clotting disorder
- Anticoagulant therapy
- Osteoporosis or known bone disease
- Tumour disease, ongoing or in remission
- Severe cardiovascular disease
This list is not exhaustive. Please mention existing conditions and medication during the preliminary talk – we will then clarify together what is possible.
When to see a doctor first instead of booking a massage
- Pain radiating into arm or leg, with numbness or loss of strength
- Pain together with fever
- Pain after an accident or fall
- Night-time pain at rest that does not subside
- A one-sided swollen, warm or painful leg
- Symptoms that worsen with massage
